Instrom wins prestigious Home Office contract
Instrom, independent security consultants from Buckinghamshire, has won a contract with the
National Probation Directorate (NPD) to carry out formal surveys of its National Probation
Services (NPS) Approved Premises, which comprises 100 properties across the UK.
As part of the continuous improvement process and to test and maintain the existing security
infrastructure the NPD has appointed Instrom to survey each of the Approved Premises and
make recommendations about any improvements which may be necessary to meet the
fundamental objectives of protecting the public, staff and residents through the provision of
enhanced supervision of and surveillance of residents.
Ken Graham, Principal Consultant at Instrom commented: “This is a very prestigious contract
for Instrom, we are pleased to have been chosen by the NPD to carry out these extremely
relevant and timely surveys. We have a tight deadline of 31 December 2003 so we will be
commencing the surveys as soon as we can.”
Instrom completed this project within time and budget, based on this they were able to secure
another contract with the NPD.
